AM Assistant Teacher
Bella Garcia is an assistant teacher here at ABCU. Her passion for children has been long-lived. She has volunteered at church nursery rooms since the age of 8 years old, from then on it became the way she made a living. She has worked in education settings for 3 years with additional babysitting and nannying under her belt. Her experience in childcare spans from infants to waddling tots, and preschoolers.
Through each environment and each age, she's found they're all equally rewarding and provide opportunities in boundless learning, Her valves as a teacher can be perceived as parallel to the Reggio Emilia approach, where nature, observation, and learning through play all interlink as one. She loves this approach in teaching because it creates a structure where teachers and the class can learn together. Consequently, this allows an environment that can foster a healthy relationship between the adult and child. Outside of the classroom, you can find her spending time training her 70 lb Siberian Husky, Jericho, going on
hikes and snuggling on the couch with her cat, Juniper. She also has a bearded dragon, Journey, who usually joins in for movie marathons. In her free time, she tries to work on her hobbies, set this varies from writing poetry, playing guitar or creating art. ABC has been a great place to work, it has been a huge foot in to furthering her education and allowing each member to have their own creative influence in the workplace.
